Stockholm ImpactStockholm Impact

With Stockholm Impact, Visit Stockholm takes a new approach to export the Stockholm DNA and create awareness of the Open city. Together with key players from the industry in Stockholm as well as SAS and in cooperation with Visit Sweden Stockholm break ground from traditional fairs and workshops.

At Fotografiska New York, that recently opened - founded in Stockholm 2010 - we found the ideal destination to showcase The Stockholm Way.

The Stockholm DNA – Visionary, Trustworthy and Free

All cities have an underlying and unique DNA which sets the stage for their form, function and feel.

We are the city that dares to dream of a better future. The creative capital that has never been anchored to the status quo. Innovation has, historically, always been part of our DNA – dating back to the days before Alfred Nobel. This innovative dreaming is enabled by the security and freedom we enjpy – including the freedom to take risks, to think outside the box, and to be early adopters.

We are the city build on transparent public institutions and a supportive system. This, together with our long history of democracy, creates a safe atmosphere where we have confidence in our society and in each other.

We are the equal city that never compromises on freedom of speech, religion or sexuality. This creats an open climate in which we encourage each other to think for ourselves, to be different, and to stand up against oppressive systems.
